Advanced concrete structures X31313
Course content: Non-linear behaviour of strustures. Internal forces redistribution. Forming of folded plate structures. Statical calculation and forming of tanks for liquides. Statical calculation and forming of silos for bulk materials.
Prestressed stuructures. Idea of prestressed structures. Classification of prestressed structures. Comparison of prestressed structures and concrete structures. Prestressing of pipes. Prestressing of cylindrical silos. Special methods of prestressing. Characteristics of industrial buildings' structures (pre-cast and monolithical). Bay structures. Bearing elements and built-in elements in bay. Durability of concrete structures. Examples of typical structures.
Learning outcomes: Proficience in identification of technical problems needed special methods of analysis. Knowledge of general rules for designing of advanced concrete structures.
