Course content:
The essence of digital method of measuring electrical quantities. Basic concepts of digital technology. Properties of the digital signal. Analog to digital converters. Digital to analog converters. Digital measurement of time and frequency. Digital measurement of voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance. Errors of digital instrument measurement.

Learning outcomes:
The main training effect is to familiarize students with methods of measuring electrical quantities with the use of digital techniques. The student should be able to identify the method of converting a continuous signal into a digital one. Moreover, students should acquire skills in the selection of digital instruments to the metrology experiments.
