DSP Application in Telecommunication Systems TS2B201111
Course content:
Overview of a way from project of a digital signal processing method used in telecommunication to the full DSP processor implementation. Digital signal processors: fixed and floating point. DSP architecture and instruction set of selected processor; central processing unit, memory, interrupts, DMA, memory cache, peripherals, power-down modes, controlling of the A/D and D/A converters. Hardware design techniques. Software development using assembler and C, software development tools, IDE, API, software optimization, real time data exchange and analysis, JTAG. Programming tips. DSP implementation of selected methods used in telecommunication systems.
Labs: Digital Signal Procesor software development. DSP implementation of selected methods used in telecommunication systems. Student projects.
Learning outcomes: Student knowledge and skills in Digital Signal Procesor software development and DSP implementation in telecommunication systems.
