Designing Telecommunication Networks TS2B201109

Course content:
Students are supposed to prepare projects of a network structure for assumed parameters. During classes the following problems are discussed: modelling of network and its resources for the viewpoint of design, analysis of aims and limitations, scalability of network, level of accessibility, efficiency, characteristic, document and estimate of network' motion; selection strategy and mechanisms of network security; design of topology and network structure. The finished project should include analysis of demands, suggestion of solutions, diagrams of network structure and the cost estimate. The prepared projects are presented (usually in the multimedia presentation form) and discussed during classes.

Learning outcomes:
Getting skills in creating and presenting projects of information technology and telecommunication' networks.
