Course content:The mathematical model of DC motors. The structure and the synthesis of typical drive systems. The synthesis of current control subsystems. The synthesis of speed control subsystems. The control accuracy in the steady-state. The dynamic performance in the transient-state. Servo drive systems. Control of DC motors in the field-weakening region. The mathematical model of the induction motor in the space vectors domain. The methods of the induction motors control. The field-oriented control methods (DFOC and IFOC). Overview of the flux estimation methods of induction motors. Direct torque control method of induction motors. The mathematical model and control methods of synchronous motors. Speed sensors and position sensors. Examples of the use of microprocessor control systems in industry.
Learning outcomes:
Students understand operating principle of mechatrinics systems.
