Radiocommunication Systems TS1A621357
Course content:
Radio channels with different frequency band. Propagation of earth waves, troposphere, ionosphere waves and microwaves.
Mathematical foundations of design of multiport radio complexes. Properties of complex matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Scattering matrix of multiport network. Power parameters of broadband transmit and receive complexes.
Base elements of transmit and receive complexes. Receive adaptive antenna arrays.
Examples of radiocommunication systems, (paging systems, wireless telephony, trunking systems, and cell telephony systems, UMTS). Satellite radiocommunication systems INMARSAT, GLOBALSTAR.
Learning outcomes: Ability of analysis of propagation waves, design of main transmit and receive complexes. Ability of recognition of radiocommunication systems.
