Course content:
Measurements of disturbances and study of the influence of disturbances on electronic and electric systems.
Travelling wave phenomena in electrically long wires, electrostatic discharge, fluctuations of power mains voltage, surge generators, effects of electromagnetic field), protective features of surge protective elements and devices, filtering, shielding (measurement of screening effectiveness), protection against electrostatic discharge,
Learning outcomes:Acquirements of identification of sources of disturbances in electronic and electrical equipment and systems, assessment of various electromagnetic threats to such equipment and systems and selection and application of proper protective methods or measures against disturbances.
