Course content:
Means and tools of the information technology. Information society. Meaning of information in tourism economy. Information processes in the tourism sector. E-business in tourism. Tourist information office in the Internet.
Virtual travel agency. Computer reservation systems versus global reservation systems. Computer reservation systems of hotel services. Information technology in transport services. The evaluation of the usefulness and functionalities of tourist Web sites. Positioning of Web pages. Evaluation criteria of tourism Web sites. Databases in tourism.
Learning outcomes:
Students should be able to using methods and tools based on use modern information technology and use them in tourism management
