Course content:
Outline of the history of tourism. Basic concepts and definitions. Classifications of tourism phenomena. Typology of tourists and tourism. Determinants of tourism development. Travelling of disabled tourists. Domestic and foreign tourism. Structure of population’s tourist activity. Sustainable tourism. Economic and social aspects of tourism development. Motivations in tourism. Positive and negative aspects of tourism development. Organization of tourism in Poland and abroad. Market of tourism services. Methods used in studies of tourism issues. People with disabilities in tourism.
Learning outcomes:
Students should be able to characterize different aspects of tourism development, they should be able to use professional tourism language and explain key issues of tourism
