Lectures:
Earth's structure, rocks and minerals. Endogenic forces and forms. Weathering, mass-movements and runoff, denaudation forms. Mountain glaciers (origin, types, movement) and continental ice-sheet, deposits and forms of ice-sheet direct activity. Melting water activity, deposits and forms. Main types of ice-sheet melting and land surface forms related to it.
Frost processes and forms in the cold climate. Wind activity, deposits and aeolian forms. River activity, river valleys and terraces. Lakes, genetic and biological types, lake deposits. Quarternary stratigraphy. Geology and geomorphology of north-eastern Poland.

Fundamentals of geometric crystallography. Recognition of amorphous and crystallic bodies. Chemical structure of minerals. Physical properties of minerals (Mohs scale). Main minerals of igneuos rock. Igneuos rocks and their structure - classification and recognition. Mineral composition of sedimentary rocks. Clastic rocks, their fractions - sieve analyses. Clayey rocks and chemical rocks. Organic rocks, recognition of calcareous and silicon rocks. Mineral composition of metamorphic rocks. Macroscopic recognition of minerals and rocks.
The glaciers and continental ice-sheets, deposits and landforms. Activity of the melt water, deposits and landforms. End moraines and glacial channel. Kames and marginal kames. The types of deglaciation. Old-glacial relief. Young-glacial relief. The frost processes and the landforms in the periglacial climate. The activity of the wind and the aeolian landforms.
