Course content:Wood and wood derivative materials and their characteristics, assumptons in design of timber structures.Load bearing states according to EC5. composite state of stressing, serviceability limit state. Connections in timber structures, yield modells and deformability of timber connections. Composite timber beams, formation and design. Timber roof structures; kinds, loadings principles of design.Timber truss, frame and arch structures: formation and design.Wood-framed with sheathing buildings; method of analysis and design. Basic parameters and masonry units in masonry structures. Design of masonry structure under axial loading - models of analysis. Design of composite masonry-reinforced concrete structures under bending and eccentric loading. Masonry transversally reinforced. Cracking of masonry structures. Durability of timber and masonry structures
