Course content:
SUBJECT AREAS - Systems. Processes.
GRAMMAR - General revision and development of the four language skills, vocabulary, and grammar at B1 level. Relative clauses. The imperative - commands/instructions. Talking about the future: will probably / certainly / posiibly + verb. Passive voice for describing processes. The order of activities - first / then /next / finally. Making questions.

Learning outcomes
Students have basic knowledge on the English grammar; their vocabulary makes it possible to participate in discussions concerning simple issues connected to the studied subjects; students use the English language at a level which is sufficient for them to communicate; students can get basic information from written works in English
Assessment criteria
written tests, checking written and oral homework assignments, discussions during classes
During the semester, the student may be awarded maximum 100 points:
- 30 points for one or more tests, where at least one test will include language items from the student's field of study;
- 20 points for different types of classwork projects and assignments, including speaking tasks;
- 50 points for the module test.
Grading system:
Satisfactory (grade 3.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 51 - 69 points.
Satisfactory + (grade 3.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 70 - 76 points.
Good (grade 4.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 77 - 83 points.
Good + (grade 4.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 84 - 89 points.
Excellent (grade 5.0)
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 90 - 100 points.
