Learning outcomes
Student is able to:
- describe the basic processes of refrigeration cycles;
- define basic notions in the field of refrigeration engineering;
- perform the basic calculations of classic refrigeration cycles;
- knows the basic principles of design and operation of compressors and heat transfer equipment dedicated for refrigeration systems.
Assessment criteria
Lecture: written test with 5 theoretical problems and one calculation problem for two-stage refrigeration cycle. Students are proivided with the examination problems by the lecturer during the lectures.
The score for receive the credit with this course is 50%.
Project: elaboration of one topic chosen from the project topics list delivered by the lecturer; presentation of the project results in seminar.
Receving the credits for lecture and project are independent.
Practical placement
Not planned.
