Realism in computer graphics, lighting models, texture.

Actual image processing and analog to digital. Creating optimal bitmap images using compression mechanisms. Retouching and improved graphics. Methods for creating vector images. Transformations and operations on vector images. The processing of graphics from a bitmap and vector to bitmap to vector.
