Course content:
SUBJECT AREAS - designs and their specifications, environmental problems and innovative solutions, determining causes and writing reports of investigations.
GRAMMAR - Present Perfect/Past Simple, expressing cause and effect, comparatives and superlatives, noun phrases, modal verbs used in speculations, III conditional, verb forms used for expressing properties, expressing opinion on past events.

Learning outcomes
Students use the English language at B2 level in everyday contacts and in professional situations
Assessment criteria
During the semester, each student may be awarded maximum 100 points:
- 30 points for one or more tests, where at least one test will include language items from the student's field of study;
- 20 points for different types of classwork projects and assignments, including speaking tasks;
- 50 points for the module test.
Grading system:
Satisfactory (grade 3.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 51 - 69 points.
Satisfactory + (grade 3.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 70 - 76 points.
Good (grade 4.0):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 77 - 83 points.
Good + (grade 4.5):
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 84 - 89 points.
Excellent (grade 5.0)
The student's overall score for the semester is in the range of 90 - 100 points.
