Computer Graphics METS02013A
Course content: The history and application of computer graphics. The evolution of graphic programs. The implementation of hardware for the needs of computer graphics. Raster and vector graphics. The formats of graphic files. Raster algorithms of 2D graphics. The transformations of objects (the transformation of points in the plane, combining transformations, matrix representation of 3D space). Geometric transformations of 2D and 3D. Modeling of curves (graphic and software representation). Presentation of graphic objects. The principles of keeping the composition and aesthetic qualities in graphics. Aspiring for realism in computer graphics. Models of color(the principles of color correction). Images filtration. The methods of images compression. Scanning and printing in computer graphics.
Learning outcomes:
The basic knowledge in computer ghraphics. The ability to prepare graphic projects/designs and multimedia compositions (the effective use of Corel package).
