Course content:
The structure of the elements and chemical compounds. Elements of inorganic chemistry. Acids, bases and salts. Types of reactions: oxidation and reduction.
Elements of organic chemistry. Hydrocarbons, petroleum. Polymers. Elements of physical chemistry. Interactions between particles. State of aggregations.Termochemistry. Chemical balance. Elements of thermodynamics and kinetics. Phases balance. Surface phenomenons. Electrochemistry. Corrosion. Spectroscopic methods. Crystalochemistry. Elements of processing chemistry. Selected operations and chemical technology. Safety rules in chemical technology.
Learning outcomes: understanding of chemical changes and their role in industry processes.
