Course content:
Place of physics among other sciences.
Physics and technology.
Algebra of vectors (reminder).
Physical quantities and their units.
Kinematics and dynamics of material point, the equations of motion, Newton's principles, inertial systems.
The consequences of Einstein's postulates: mention of the special theory of relativity.
Interactions occurring in nature: gravitational, electromagnetic, and nuclear (strong) and weak.
Transfer of interactions - a field of forces.
Conservative fields.
The principle of the energy conservation.
Corpuscular-wave nature of particles.
Materials and their structure (selected issues).
Learning outcomes:
Understanding of research methods in physics.
Understanding the relationship between physics and technology, and the differences between the objectives of these areas. The ability to use the laws of physics in solving problems of technology.
