Technical Mechanics I MARN01003A
Course content:
Lectures:Basic concepts of mechanics. Vectors theory. Reduction of an arbitrary system of forces. Equilibrium equations. Static analysis of beams, piles, trusses. Friction. Centers of gravity and mass. Kinematics of a point. Translational, rotational, spherical and arbitrary rigid body motion. Compound motion. Addition of motions. Axioms and problems of dynamics. Oscillatory motion. Laws of the particle motion. Geometry of masses. Principles of linear and angular momenta of the system. Pendulum. Conservation of energy. Work kinetic energy theorem. D’Alembert principle. Dynamics of a solid.
Classes:System of concurrent forces. Plane and spatial systems of forces. Kinematics of a point, rotational motion. Plane motion. Oscillations.
Learning outcomes:On receives theoretical knowledge and practical habits in the modeling of mechanical engineering structures using the concepts of a particle, a system of particles, a rigid body, equations of general mechanics.
