Course content:
Photography as a source of information.
Fundamentals of physical imagery.
The possibilities of using video in research and practice, technology and biology.
Fundamentals of photogrammetry classic and distinctive capabilities of its use. Photodetection.
Characteristics of digital image processing and its capabilities.
Basics stereologii. Morphometric parameters used in the measurement of biological and technical objects.
The procedure for morphometric measurements by using computer image analysis.
Characteristics of the software used for computer image analysis for example MULTIScana.
Examples of the use of computer image analysis. Detection of different objects. Possible applications of computer image analysis in forestery.
Learning outcomes:
The acquisition by students of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of implementation of the morphometric measurements by using computer image analysis.
