Course content:
The main chemical constituents of plants. The organic compounds found in plants and their role. Structural and functional organization of plant cell. The physiological role of plant cell structural elements.
Metabolism, anabolic and catabolic processes - general characteristics.
Water the plant cell. Water trees.
Mineral nutrition, nitrogen economy. Transport of substances in plants.
Photosynthesis - the essence and the localization process. Respiration.
Regulation of plant growth and development by endogenous and environmental factors.
Learning outcomes: Understanding of physiological processes occurring in the forest environment.
