Course content:
Information technology and management. Fundamentals of management information systems. The basics of computers and building architecture of computer systems. Telecommunications in information management systems - basic definitions, the components of telecommunications networks. Database as a basic element of information systems. Application of information systems in management. Integrated management information systems - characteristics, types of integrated systems. Fundamentals of information systems implementation in enterprisses. Information systems for trade and banking and public administration as exsamples of applications of information systems.
Learning outcomes:
Ability to identify and to describe management information systems. The ability to select an appropriate system for specified purpose. To gain ability to use software modules that are part of integrated information systems.
