Fundamentals of Engineering Design KN05209

Course content:
Designing objects and processes as a key element of engineering activities. Holistic approach to the design process. Technical systems in a systemic perspective. Formulation and analysis of the problem, the search for solution concepts - methods and techniques to assist. Development of the characteristics of technical objects - engineering calculations. Meeting the requirements and limitations, methods of evaluation and selection of variants of solutions. Modeling and optimization in design.

Learning outcomes:
The acquisition of skills related to the organization of the design process, showing how the project into phases and stages. Use of CAD programs, the acquisition of skills in desktop environments.
