Description:
Morphology of plants – morphology of flowers, fruits, stems, leaves of vascular plants. Morphological transformation of the individual parts of the
plant. Reproduction of vascular plants. The stems of woody plants in winter dormancy period. Basics of vascular plant systematics, nomenclature and classification rules in plant systematics Systematics of different groups of plants (mosses and ferns, herbaceous plants, trees and shrubs gymnosperms and angiosperms). Characteristics and biology of some chosen species of, mosses, ferns, trees and shrubs gymnosperms and angiosperms. The ranges of occurrence of the main forest – forming species in Poland.

Aims and objectives:
Knowing the morphology of flowers, leaves, shoots angiosperms and gymnosperms. Modifications to the individual morphological parts of plants.
Basics of vascular plant systematics. Reproduction of vascular plants. Knowledge of biology and identification of species of woody plants and undergrowth main types of forest habitat in Poland.
