Description:
Subject description: Statically determinate structures � internal forces, influence lines. Maxwell-Betti
reciprocity theorem. Virtual work principle. Displacements of statically determinate structures. Static
analysis of statically indeterminate structures � Force Method, Displacement Method, Moment
Distribution Method. Influence lines of internal forces in statically indeterminate structures. The stability
of rod arrangements. Calculatation of critical burdens. The theory of second rank. Dynamics of rod
arrangements with finite degrees of freedom.
Skills: Acquired knowledge in following problems: the internal forces calculating in bar structures,
strength cases identification, cross-sections designing of bars, understandings, the structure stability
and its components analyzing.
Requirements:
Required knowledge: The students should have passed the subjects: Theoretical Mechanics, Strength of Materials
