Course content:
1. Data security. Fundamental concepts of cryptography. Transposition and Substitution ciphers.
2. Mono and Poly alphabetic substitution cipher.
3. Data Encryption Standard (DES, IDEA).
4. Number theory.
5. Public Key Cipher.
6. Stream cipher.
7. Cryptographic Keys Management.
8. Authentication Protocols.
Course content - specialist lab: Analysis of selected problems introduced during lectures.
Learning outcomes: After the course the student will have a theoretical knowledge of the existing algorithms to encrypt and secure information.
