Course content: Characteristics of signal. Continuous-time signals. Basis of complex numbers. Dirac delta generalized function. Linear time-invariant systems. Continuous-time convolution. Fourier series of periodic signals. Spectral analysis of periodic signals. Fourier transform of aperiodic signals. Signal sampling and Shannon theorem. Aliasing. Fourier transform of aperiodic discrete-time signals. Discrete Fourier transform. FFT algorithm. Windows. Digital filtering. Finite Impulse Response filters. Wavelet filters and wavelets.
