Lecture course content:Territory of EU and the global space; territorial cohesion of the EU; subjects responsible for EU spatial policy - the role of the regions, states and the EU; EU spatial policy instruments.
Exercise course content:
European territorial development; euroregions; The European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON); territorial space organization in member states.

Learning outcomes
Student is able to characterize the European space problems, identifies their causes and consequences, indicating potential courses of action in reference to these problems, identify subjects responsible for the EU spatial policy and describe EU spatial policy instruments; evaluates by appropriately selected measures EU coherence and draws conclusions from the the analysis, analyzes the territorial organization of the EU member states indicating optimal solutions.
Assessment criteria
Lecture - written examination; Exercise - test and the preparation and presentation of selected issues (the problem study)
