Spatial economics of the European Union GPS106
Course content:
Territory of EU and the global space. Territorial cohesion of the EU. Subjects responsible for EU spatial policy - the role of the regions, states and the EU. Regional development planning at the level of the Communities. Euroregions. EU spatial policy instruments. The European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON).
Learning outcomes:
Student is able to characterize the European space problems, identify subjects responsible for the EU spatial policy and describe EU spatial policy instruments.
