Course content:
Introduction of the following issues: “life” of building object – its exploitation, factor influencing maintenance of building in the proper technical state
Learning outcomes:
Participants of construction process, owners and managers of building objects, their rights and obligations; different ways of management.
Exploitation of buildings; repairs and strengthening of structures; costs of exploitation.
Legal acts and regulations considering exploitation, repairs and modernization of buildings; tenders for repair and modernization works.
Types of repairs, design and cost calculation documentation; programming of repairs, the role of periodic inspections and repairs; changes of ways of using the building and their influence upon exploitation.
Repairs and strengthening of traditional and prefabricated structures; repairs of timber buildings.
Exploitation of historical monuments; systems of renovation of historical monuments.
