Electric Power Networks EZ2B300105
Course content:
The classification and requirements of electric power networks. Electric networks models and schemes. The calculation of load flow, short circuit fault levels, losses (power and energy), and voltage drops. The methods of voltage controls. Reactive power phenomenon, results and mitigation in electric power lines. Load flow calculation methods in the closed networks. Design of overhead and cable electric power network. Calculation of the customer power loads. Choice of number, power and location of MV/LV transformer substations. Designing the routs of MV and LV overhead and cable lines. Selection of type and conductor size of MV and LV lines. Selection of line distribution and protection equipment. Study of lines crossing.
Learning outcomes:
Students will acquire knowledge in the scope of designing and exploitation of distribution and system power grides.
