Winter Semester 2010/11
Professional Electronic Systems 2 ET09047
Course content:
During the laboratory sessions choosen advanced electronic analog and digital embedded devices for the conditioning, measurement and control systems are studied. Students have to develop a related system design, for example: mobile robots. The control system, consisting of advanced analog and digital circuits, MEMS sensors (temperature, humidity, ultrasonic, optoelectronic), actuators, DC motors and servos used in automation and robotics.
Learning outcomes:
The laboratory sessions, which are taught in a hands-on-manner, equip students with necessary tools and know-how to make use of powerful technology of microcontrollers within their own disciplines.
Using various pedagogical methods such as team work, it is possible to achieve the right balance between theory and practice, and giving students from various disciplines an "industry like" experience.
