Advanced Control Techniques ES2B302206
Course content:
Artificial neural networks (ANN) - architectures and training methods. ANN-based modeling and identification of dynamic systems, ANN in system control and diagnostics.
Fuzzy sets and systems in modeling, control and diagnostics.
Genetic algorithms (GA) and operations. GA application for system modeling, identification, control.
Other knowledge-based control systems. Knowledge-based (KBC) and self-organizing controllers.
Robust control - application of µ-analysis and synthesis, H∞ and LMI algorithms.
Methods and algorithms of predictive control (DMC, GPC, MPC). Nonlinear predictive control algorithms. Stability, constraints, parameter adjustment, analysis and design of predictive control systems.
Adaptive control systems: basic concepts, adaptation via parameter identification, adaptation via controller tuning.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge of advanced control methods and algorithms.
Practical skills of system design using advanced control methods.
