Power Systems ES1A611251
Course content:
Electric Power System (EPS). Polish Power System (PPS) and European NPS, connections and co-operation. Characteristics and statistic of the PPS. Mathematical models of the EPS and it’s elements. Power Load Flow (PLF) in the EPS. General characteristic of the methods. EPS state estimation. Selected methods of state estimation. EPS state optimization. Numerical methods of power system calculation. Electric Power Distribution (EPD) optimization under EEM conditions. Linear Programming Dispatch (LPD). Voltage levels and reactive power distribution optimization.
Learning outcomes: The students get to know about the work of the power system considered as a set of interconnected elements. They learn to use different algorithms for calculating power and current flows in closed electric power systems. The students learn about the application of power system state estimator. They can build a base of data necessary to perform these calculations in the power system.
