Electric Power Stations and Transmission Lines EL08038
Course content: The construction of overhead lines: conductors, result of climatic conditions on operation„conductors static, supports, stringency, accessories and principles of choice. The calculation of conductors static, insulators choice, supports and accessories. Principles of span drafting by consideration of stringency. The performation of electric power line span design.
Definition and classification of electric power stations. Station connection systems -basic requirements, role of switching substations and their equipment. Main and auxiliary fields and their equipment.Constructions of stations.
Calculation of bus-bars and isolators. Selection of main and auxiliary fields of MV/LV distribution substation along with: switches, voltage and current transformers, protections - secondary circuits.
Learning outcomes: To familiarize with the construction and principles of design electric power stations and transmission lines
