Alternative Energy Sources EE1202
The following issues are presentedduring the course:
- introduction, classification of renewable (non-conventional) energy sources,
- use of wind energy,
- use of surface water energy,
- use of geothermal energy
- the ways of solar radiation using:
- passive systems - solar architecture,
- active systems - systems with solar collectors,
- installation of photovoltaic cells,
- types of heat pumps and the principle of their operation, with particular emphasis on compression heat pumps,
- the low-energy environment,
- the types of biomass and using biomass.

Assessment criteria
Examination of the lectures is in writing.

In order to receive a positive mark, sudent has to answer correctly at least six of the ten questions given by the teacher. Issues before test are given for indyvidual study and are in line with the themes presented in the lectures. Evaluation criteria:
- 6 correct answers out of 10 - very good mark,
- 8 correct answers out of 10 - a good mark,
- 10 correct answers out of 10 - adequate assessment.
(gradation will also be included as: 3.5, 4.5)
For those students who prefer to answer verbally - it is possibility.
