Course content:The concept of ethics. Ethics and discipline related. The history of evolution of ethical concepts; Modern and contemporary ethics: utilitarianism (J. Bentham); ethics of state and law; independent ethics; ethics personalistic (Ebner); subject, purpose and method of ethics; Freedom of will: freedom of external and internal, good end evil, freedom and determinism; The concept of virtues and vices, cardinal virtues; Conscience as the standard of morality; Natural law: definition, personalitic interpretation of natural law, subject matter of natural law, qualities of the natural law; The problem of meaning: objectives and responsibilities; Freedom and nature; The problem of fault; Social Ethics: liberalism, socialism, the ethos of human rights; Introduction to bioethics and selected bioethical issues.
Learning outcomes: Using the concepts of ethics, knowledge of the basic directions in ethics affecting the proper formation of personal attitudes.
