Learning outcomes
student has knowledge of principles of using statically indeterminate systems
they can build static schemes of statically indeterminate systems, they know how to assume and transfer loads
they have ability to identify and determine stresses and mechanical quantities required for design
they have ability to shape optimal statically indeterminate structures from different materials
Assessment criteria
Rules of assessment:
The material of the subject is divided into 5 thematic areas, called themes. Mastering the material is checked through written tests, which take place during the whole semester. The tests are held on two dates (the first regular date and the second correction date).
There are 5 regular tests. Each test involves one theme and includes 3 tasks.
There are 2 correction tests. They are available to people who did not pass the regular tests. The first test involves themes 1, 2, 3, the second involves themes 4, 5. Each test includes one task from one theme.
There are 2 correction reserve tests. They are available to people who did not pass the regular tests and did not participate in the correction tests. The first test involves themes 1, 2, 3, the second involves themes 4, 5. Each test includes one task from one theme.
One correctly solved task passes a theme. Each correctly solved task gives 1 point.
TUTORIALS - FINAL GRADE
5.0 (very good) -> (Passing 5 themes) and (the total sum of points from 5 themes ≥ 12)
4.5 (better than good) -> (Passing 5 themes) and (the total sum of points from 5 themes ≥ 10)
4.0 (good) -> (Passing at least 4 themes) and (the total sum of points from 5 themes ≥ 8)
3.5 (better than satisfactory) -> (Passing at least 4 themes) and (the total sum of points from 5 themes ≥ 6)
3.0 (satisfactory) -> Passing at least 3 themes
2.0 (unsatisfactory/fail) -> Passing less than 3 themes
LECTURES – the grade of the tutorials is the grade of the lectures
