Course content:
Histrory o residential architecture of the Podlasie region in the context of the European centres (Warsaw, Paris, Rome). Political factors and the role of the magnates families in creation of the subject art and architecture. Analyses of architectural forms, symbolical structures and ceremonial functionas of the residences in Bialystok, Radzyn P., Bocki, Lubartow and Pulawy)
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge of artistic values of the palaces in their various levels and factors (artistic, historical, literary, political and geographical) determining their shapes.
