Structural Mechanics 2 AU2053
Course content:
Statics and mechanics of statically indeterminate systems. Analysis, synthesis and optimization. Principles of building static schemes. Principles of modelling and combining loads. The way of load transfer between elements. Strength of structural systems. Determination of stresses. Determination of mechanical quantities required for design.
Learning outcomes:
Learning principles of using of statically indeterminate systems systems. Gaining skills and competence in understanding how to shape structures. Reaching abilities to build static schemes, to assume and transfer loads, to design structural elements, to identify and determine stresses and mechanical quantities, to shape optimal structures from different materials.
