Descriptive Geometry AK1213
Central and parallel projection and its invariants. Axonometric projection: isometry, military, cavalry, orthogonal. Basic constructions in axonometry. Monge orthographic projection. Multiview orthographic projection of solid figures and its shadows. Intersection of two and more solid figures in frame representation in axonometry and Monge projection. Geometry of roofs, revolution and revolved section – Monge projection and axonometry. Two-point perspective – measuring point method. Topographic projection and terrain surfaces (road and swimming pool). Selected revolved, translational, ruled surfaces: conical, cylindrical, developable, and non-developable surfaces. CAD programs and descriptive geometry in creation of graphic part of engineering documentation.

Learning outcomes
student characterizes the projections used in the art, maps simple models of spatial objects, reconstructs spatially mapped performs spatial object using the CAD drawing of construction techniques used in the design geometry, student working in a team pursuing the task of engineering graphics
Assessment criteria
hand-drawn pencil or computer design 6 projects (exercitations), one tests (hand-drawn pencil design and computer), nine short tests (entrances) term work: physical model of a geometric object, computer project of a physical process (e.g. a geometrical insolation of a roof’s surface).
