Basic principles of the refrigerating engineering. The reverse engine cycle (Carnot), the irreversible engine cycles. The air refrigeration cycles: the theoretical refrigeration cycle and the real one. The single-stage vapour compression cycle: Linde cycle, the vapour compression cycle (Rankine), the cycle with subcooling of the liquid refrigerant, the cycle with the heat exchanger to subcool the liquid from the condenser, the multistage vapour compression cycles. The ejector (steam-jet) refrigeration cycle. Basic principles of two component solutions. Absorption refrigeration cycles (ammonia-water and lithium bromide-water). The general properties of refrigerants.
