Rationalization of Energy Use ŚC20067
Description of assumed knowledge, skills and social competence that students should have after passed the course, such introduction students with the legal provisions concerned with heat and energy consumption building in Poland and abroad. Teaching students the basic issues related with determination of energy efficiency existing objects and basic measures of economic efficiency modernization projects. Acquainted students with projects and technologies about rational approach of heating energy consumption of buildings, internal installations, heat sources and heat networks distribution.

1. Knows the rules and has the underpinned theoretical knowledge on the assessment of buildings energy consumption
2. Has knowledge about the latest technologies that reduce energy consumption in buildings, internal installations, heat sources and heat networks
3. Knows and applies properly computer tools for the calculation and design of projects to rationalize consumption of heat
4. Able to obtain information from the literature, databases, and other sources
5. Able, in accordance to given specification, design modernization of building, heating system, heat sources and thermal networks, and assess the economic viability of these projects
6. Able to think and act in a creative and enterprising
