Course content:
Financial investments - the concept and types. Entities operating on the securities market (control and supervision institutions, entities that organize the circulation, intermediaries, individual and institutional investors). The idea and classification of securities. Stock market. Bonds. Short-term debt securities. Deposit securities. Derivative instruments and investment strategies based on them. Methods of analysis applied to the securities market. The structure of transactional systems. Motivational inclinations of investors (perspective theory, implications relating to an unfinished investment, implications relating to the results of a recently finished investment). Alternative investments.
Learning outcomes:
The student should know the basic financial market instruments (both the primary and derivative ones); should know the basic methods of investment decision making and the principles of investment system structures.
