Course content:
Definition of globalization, mundialization, global village. Different meaning and aspects of globalization, history, nature and existence of globalization. Characteristics, conception of alterglobalization. Institutions which forms the principles and rules of globalization.Global problems: poverty, famine, mortality, indebtedness, diseases, natural disasters.Transatlantic economic relations and their global aspects. Integrational processes in Americas (including: NAFTA, Mercosur and others).Integrational processes in Eurasia and Central Asia (CIS, EAEC and others). Integrational processes in Asia – Pacific (ASEAN, APEC ...),The scope and character of integrational processes in Africa (i.e. ECOWAS)
Learning outcomes:Students should be able to evaluate the scope and character of globalization and integrational processes in the contemporary world, challenges which are the effects of this processes, the reasons and consequences of the creation of new groups
