Course content:Thin walled reinforced concrete shells,basis of static analysis,methods of design and detailing of rotational shells structures.Cylindrical shels shaped as roof structures,static analysis,design and detailing. Folded roofs,design and detailing.Reinforced concrete deep beams,statics,dimensionning and detailing.Reinforced concrete retaining walls,stability control,dimensioning and detaling of massive,cantilever and ribbed retaining walls.Water tanks with rectangular cross-sections - design problems of wall thightness according to Eurocode2 part3.Cylindrical water tanks,static analysis,dimensioning and detailing. Reinforced concretre silos,evaluation of loads on silo walls and hoopers.Static analysis and detailing of cross-sections in rectangular and cylindrical silo walls.
Learning outcomes:Students should posses skils in preliminary design procedures of spatial concrete structures(static schemes and method of structural analysis and design)
