Course content:
Evolution of model of using computer systems in the last decades. Internet services and their typical technologies. Web pages as a versatile method of providing digital information access. Principles of operation of web servers and browsers. Fundamentals of protocols used in web technologies. HTML and XHTML languages. Cascade Style Sheets (CSS) technology. Client side scripts. Technologies of dynamic generation of web pages. Family of XML languages and their applications. Methods of database access through a web browser. AJAX technology. Foundations of data exchanging using Web Service technology.
Learning outcomes:
Acquiring theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in creating web applications with database access.
