Electronic Devices TZ1A300013
Course content:
Physics and properties of semiconductors. P-N junction. Metal - semiconductor contact. Principles of operation and characteristics of semiconductor devices such as: thermistor, varistor, piezoresistor, photoresistor, Hall effect device, diodes, bipolar transistors, field-effect transistors, unijunction transistor, thyristor, constant current diode, charge-coupled devices, passive elements of integrated circuits, logic gates. Models and applications of semiconductor devices.
Learning outcomes:
- understanding principles and electrical characteristics of electronic devices;
- ability to use datasheets and application notes of electronic devices;
- ability to apply models of electronic devices to analyse basic electronic circuits;
- basic skills in using multimeters, power supplies,
oscilloscopes and function generators;
- ability to measure and record the experimental data,
analyse the results and prepare laboratory report.
