Programmable Logic Controllers TS2B202207
Course content: General overview of PLCs and their application in industry; PLC hardware architecture, the digital and analog Input/Output; introduction to PLC programming languages (IEC 61131-3): graphical and text-based languages; problem analysis and specification in the form of state transition graph of the controlled process; introduction to networking using PLC systems and peripherals, Profibus and Profinet nets.
The realization of the project of automation chosen industrial process:
- familiarise yourself with description of the technological process and his laboratory model,
- designing the process algorithm,
- familiarization with a Windows based software application STEP-7,
- preparation a control program,
- creation an example InTouch application,
- tests and checking on the laboratory kit: the PLC controller and the model.
Learning outcomes: Student acquires knowledge about: construction of PLC, operating principles, rules of programming and design.
