Course content:
Optical phenomena in semiconductors. Photovoltaic phenomenon - analysis of solar cell parameters, materials used in photovoltaic systems. Monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar cells. Alternative methods of utilizing solar energy in photovoltaic systems - exemplary solutions. Electronic systems interacting with solar cells in photovoltaic systems - inverters, accumulators, fuel cells. Membranes and super-ionic conductors used in storage and energy conversion systems.
